Beta service WWF plush 01635 - Panda, Asia collection, eco plush toy, 15 cm
14 cmProduct details
The WWF ECO Line is made from 100% recycled materials, not just the filling like other WWF plush toys, but also the outer material. This is true sustainability! The giant panda is likely familiar to you as the emblematic animal of the WWF. But did you know that, according to counts from 2014, the population of giant pandas in the wild is estimated to be only about 1,864 individuals? Fortunately, the number of pandas is steadily increasing; however, the bamboo bears are still listed as endangered, and we cannot yet sound the all-clear. Their habitat is limited to six small mountain regions in southwestern China. The bamboo bear lives up to its nickname, feeding almost exclusively on up to 60 different species of bamboo, consuming between 9 to 18 kilograms per day. In the wild, these animals can live up to 20 years, during which a female can give birth to and raise about six cubs. At birth, giant pandas weigh only about 80 to 200 grams, making them as small as a hamster, even though adult animals can weigh between 70 to 125 kilograms. The WWF plush collection consists of a range of lifelike plush toys that have been exclusively designed for the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature). It is produced to the highest standards. In addition to socially responsible production, sustainability and environmental compatibility are of utmost importance. The collection voluntarily meets the particularly strict requirements of the Blue Angel seal. This careful approach results in a product that accompanies you for a lifetime – which also means less waste. With every purchase of a plush toy from the WWF plush collection, the WWF's work in numerous projects around the world is supported. Let's save the planet, plush toy by plush toy! Washable: Hand wash. Outer material: 100% recycled polyester. Inner material: 100% recycled PET.
