Bandai's major Gunpla release of 2012 is the old fan favorite Nu Gundam, designed by the renowned Gundam artist Hajime Katoki. The original Master Grade Nu Gundam was released back in 2001, and a lot has changed in Gunpla technology since then. The new Nu Gundam Ver Ka is an excellent example of how far Bandai has come. Key features of the Nu include a fully ABS plastic frame, making it lighter, a hidden green psycho frame that is revealed when certain sections of the armor detach, the ability to use Bandai's LED to illuminate the head, and water slide decals for markings, as well as the option to build it as a double fin funnel.

Bandai offers models of very high quality, requiring no paint or glue. These models are very easy to assemble and have many joint points.
