Karnomorphs - Expansion for: Nemesis (EN), 1 - 5 players, ages 14 and up

It all happened because of a cat! It must have boarded during our encounter with the research ship Adrastea. Shortly after we collected samples from the protoplanet DB-198 and began our journey back, all the researchers were safely secured in their stasis chambers. But not the cat, and even its nine lives couldn't save it.

As the ship accelerated to 1000 G, the poor creature transformed into a four-kilogram projectile, smashing several sample canisters and turning into a thin layer of protein soup at the door. Sad, but not alarming. However, it turns out that something strange had been hiding in the damaged samples. An insatiable, parasitic form of XNA that can bind to many different genetic molecules, including DNA, and rewrite them to cultivate host organisms. This virus recombined the remains of the cat and feasted on our supplies until it found us in the stasis capsule. Like pieces of meat in a can, waiting to be opened.

Soon, all hell broke loose. We tried to fight this virus, but the more we bled and the more of us died, the stronger and larger these monsters became. The survivors are now planning to destroy the ship, but the way to the control room is blocked by the original host, now a cumbersome mass of flesh with a grotesquely distorted cat head. I volunteered to confront it with a flamethrower. I know it's unreasonable, but that damned thing has to pay for everything that was done to my crew!
