You think about your overdue rent and sigh as you agree to his offer to head to the Catskills and poke around a bit. "Take an umbrella," he advises you. "It storms there often."

Arkham Noir is a solo game inspired by the interconnected tales of H. P. Lovecraft and other authors, reimagined as a noir story. Each case can be played independently. In "The Call of Thunder," Howard Lovecraft investigates events based on the stories "The Lurking Fear" (1923) and "The Diary of Alonzo Typer" (1938).

In the game, you lay out clue cards for open cases and create investigative sequences to ultimately solve the cases. The goal is to collect 5 "Puzzle" cards to see the bigger picture before time runs out or you go insane. Each new session is the start of a unique challenge, with difficulty that can be individually adjusted.
