Tajuto is a strategy game that combines tactics and luck set in ancient Japan. It features an innovative mechanism where players must feel for the right game pieces in a fabric bag. Around the year 532, Buddhism reached Japan and took its place alongside the predominant Shintoism. The legendary Prince Shotoku took a liking to the new religion and commissioned Buddhist monks to build a village with a magnificent garden, where eight pagodas were to be erected. He proclaimed that this place would become one of the most significant sanctuaries of Buddhism upon the completion of the fourth pagoda. The monk who achieves the highest level of enlightenment by then will be appointed as the Great Guardian of the sacred garden of the eight pagodas and the protector of the pilgrimage site. You are one of these Buddhist monks. Will you succeed in reaching the highest level of consciousness to prove yourself worthy of this title?
