However, the events are often so bizarre that only a strong bluff can help. Each player takes turns adding a new event to the chain until one of the players expresses doubt and the chain is checked. Those who were wrong must draw penalty cards from the pile, which they also need to get rid of. With the next event chain, the doubts of the other players begin to grow. The simple game mechanics and the quirky events guarantee long-lasting and always varied fun. The Anno Domini series is organized by themes, but the scope of each theme is quite broad. Of course, each series can be played on its own, but the game gains an extra appeal when the series are mixed together.
