In Fabula Rasa, players take turns telling a constantly evolving story, as is typical in oral traditions. The motifs on the cards provide visual cues for central characters, objects, and locations in the narrative that must be remembered in the correct order. It is creatively and challengingly memorable, as in each round cards disappear and new ones are added. The storyteller who successfully recounts their version of the story without mistakes will be rewarded accordingly.

In the Seemannsgarn set, players take on the roles of sea dogs sharing all sorts of fantastic tales in the harbor tavern: from sunken ships, treasure maps, pirates, mysterious islands, dangers, and adventures at sea.
