Yesterday I received my DWE 7492 with the fixed adapter (type 12, CEE 7/7; 3-pin EU--CH). However, a 2-pin CH fixed adapter (type 11, CEE 7/17) is already plugged into the machine. How can I change the adapter or is it not necessary as there may be no earthing at all?

is unearthed. so it doesn't need the fixed adapter. if you want to install a soft start (so that the thing starts a little more gently), there are lots of videos on youtube. just search for soft start and Dewalt 7492. You will also see in the videos that there is no earthing anywhere.

It's not bad, but theoretically you shouldn't fit a 3-pin fixed adapter to a 2-pin (EU plug).

As far as I know, you can't get it off without breaking the adapter. If it has already been pre-assembled, leave it disconnected and enjoy your saw. 😊
