Which countries are covered? Is it really true that there is less coverage compared to the DriveSmart 55 even though both say "Full EU".

I have set the following maps:
=> Settings => Map / Vehicle => myMaps
Europe DEM
CN Europe NTU 2024.10 Foursquare
CN Europe NTU 2024.10 Parkopedia
CN Europe NTU 2024.10 ALL South
CN Europe NTU 2024.10 ALL North
CN Europe NTU 2024.10 Basic 3D

The following Garmin website provides information about the available Europe maps:
https://support.garmin.com/de-DE

I am very satisfied with the Drivesmart 65. It has a large screen and is quite fast when navigating.

I don't know the Drivesmart 55 as a device. The software is possibly identical.
In Western Europe, the coverage is brilliant and the map material TOP (incl. CZ, SK).
The precision changes abruptly in the eastern part of Poland or in Ukraine (west of Kiev). In combination with Google Maps, 3 years of work/life were possible. Garmin and Google navigation only works on "well" built roads with variable accuracy.
Regular map updates are worthwhile.
My answer does not claim to be factually correct. It is based on practical experience.
