No, it's not a mistake, in fact the price is quite right for this type of equipment.
It's a MakPac, a sturdy system case that stacks and clips with all the other Makita (and even Festool) cases. The advantage of buying an empty case is that you can store your 'Z' version tools (cardboard, without batteries) or use it to store consumables (screws, batteries).
Be careful, though: the case is delivered completely empty. To secure a specific tool (such as a screwdriver or grinder), you need to buy the plastic inlay for your machine separately, otherwise it may move during transport.
