Is this a battery (lithium 2032) cranking lamp or a dynamo lamp? With battery lamps, it's just that when the battery is gone, even cranking is no use. Then you only have electrical waste in your hand. Survival or emergency tools have no expiry date.

Battery. But with the dynamo, the bulb can break and you have electronic waste at hand. A homemade torch, candle or lantern is still a better tool than a survival/emergency tool.
