You can add a large motorcycle muffler, which has a detachable exhaust port. And you can also make a box, run it in the box, and then connect the muffler of the motorcycle, basically the neighbors in your apartment will not be disturbed. It is loud at full load - but there are certainly louder ones. In normal operation, I find it quite ok in terms of noise level.
