Question about Bosch Home & Garden EasyPump
Is the battery actually permanently installed and cannot be replaced or is it proprietary? After a few years and deep discharges, the device would be a piece of scrap metal.

Yes, the battery is actually permanently installed. And as far as I have seen, there are no screws. So the housing is held together with plastic clips.
But Bosch offers a battery replacement service. Unfortunately I can't say what the costs are here. But I would bet that outside of the warranty, a new purchase makes more sense than a repair.
