Is it possible to buy a grinding stone as a replacement or does it have to be one from Scheppach? It is hard to find and costs almost as much as the machine itself.

I took the one from Tormek as a replacement. When buying the Tiger 2000s, a large part of the purchase price is the stone, which cannot be changed. But if you can't find the scheppach one, you can use Tormek products in general. Scheppach has copied the Tormek product (Tormek T-4 or T-8 would be the original).

If you use the Tormek stone, you will also need a washer for an M10 screw, because the mounting is minimally narrower.
