Yes exactly, when the battery is empty, the whole thing is disposed of. We decided on this type because we have a room height of over 4 metres in the attic and don't want to carry the ladder up there regularly to change the batteries. In addition, the radio connection is very practical if you live on several floors. In a one-storey flat with rooms of normal height, we would probably have chosen a different variant, but for our requirements, these smoke detectors were the perfect solution.
