Question about GO Professional 6250 EU - 287244
From the description: "From 31 December 2020, it will unfortunately no longer be possible to receive real-time traffic information in Switzerland via the built-in SIM card." I beg your pardon? Can anyone tell me why this is the case? And will traffic information still be available live via smartphone, for example?

Swissproblem.... Swisscom - apparently TomTom's communications partner - is discontinuing 2G. Devices that are still based on this outdated technology no longer work.
I assume that you can use your mobile phone as a hotspot and transfer the information to the TomTom.
Say it makes more sense to go for the cheaper version that doesn't have 2G
