Does the switch really only work with the proprietary v2 Hue Bridge or is it generally ZigBee 3.0 compatible?

Neither. The switch can also be integrated into other ZigBee networks. However, it does not use the full ZigBee 3.0 protocol but the ZigBee Green Power (zgp). This probably has to be translated via another Hue device and does not work with all ZigBee coordinators.
A Friends of Hue module is installed in the Feller switch.
