ABL Wallbox
Type 2, 11 kW, 16 A, Type 2
Can it be used with a type 15 plug?
No, the box is equipped with a cable including a type 2 plug as standard
No, the box must be permanently connected by an electrician with a separate cable. Directly to the distribution box in the house, as 16A fused.
The connection for 11kW charging power requires 3 (phases) x 230V x 16A (3 x 230V x 16A = 11kVA = 11kW). This connection is usually permanently wired (fixed supply cable, no plug in between) and must be made by an electrician. If a plug is to be used in between, it must be specified for (at least) 3 x 16A, type 15 is not.
Mine is wired and fused with 16A. Plug type 15 may only transmit up to 10A.
T15 plugs are for 10Amp
continuous load!
(Not for 16 Amp)
I don't think so because the Wallbox has to be wired and the installation has to be done by an electrician.
