By using the FTX 519 wireless temperature monitor on the flue pipe and a remote transmitter near the oven, an exhaust system can only be used when the oven or combustion site is not running and is cold, or when a window has been opened. A transmitter, connected with a 1-meter long silicone cable to the temperature monitor, checks whether the oven is on or off and transmits this information wirelessly to the receiver. The receiver only allows power to the connected device when the oven is off. If the oven is on, the exhaust system can still be operated with an open window. For optimal wireless transmission, the transmitter of the FTX 519 is pulled out of the hot oven area with a silicone cable and mounted upright on a wall facing the receiver. A powerful lithium battery ensures long operating time.
