Versatile application possibilities
Despite its compact size, the Genius radio hand switch has a lot to offer! It can be used as a manual home alarm and as a radio interface to external systems (e.g., alarm systems, sirens, lights). In the event of a fire, the alarm is transmitted directly via radio to the Genius radio network and/or wired to external devices. With the forwarding to external devices, such as a telephone dialer, information can also be communicated via call, SMS, or email. It also works in the reverse direction. Externally triggered signals (e.g., from an external hand switch) are transmitted to the Genius radio system.

The optical smoke detector ORS142 detects both smoldering fires and open fires with smoke development at an early stage. An additional temperature sensor activates at an ambient temperature of 70 °C. In areas with interfering factors such as steam, dust, condensation, and operational smoke development, we recommend using our thermal differential switch TDS 247.
The ORS 142 operates on the scattered light principle. The light emitter and receiver are arranged in the measurement chamber so that the light from the emitter does not directly hit the receiver. Only the light scattered by suspended particles reaches the receiver. The evaluation electronics of the ORS 142 additionally monitor the smoke measurement part of the detector for slight pollution, heavy pollution, and malfunction (measurement chamber failure). The respective operating states are visually indicated by the ORS 142. A long-term alarm threshold tracking ensures a consistent distance between the baseline signal and the alarm threshold until the limit for heavy pollution is reached. A relay contact opens in case of an alarm as well as in the event of a power failure. We recommend subjecting our smoke and thermal switches to factory revision after 8 years.

9. Hekatron Kohlenmonoxid-Melder
The KonexXt CO One carbon monoxide alarm from Hekatron detects carbon monoxide (CO) in the ambient air. The electrochemical sensor is designed for a service life of up to 10 years from commissioning. If the CO concentration in the room air rises, an 85 dB loud alarm is triggered. The alarm LED also flashes. The measured CO value is shown on the display.
In addition to the ALARM LED, the KonexXt CO One CO detector also has an error LED (FAULT) and an operating LED, which indicates that the detector is ready for operation; the green LED flashes approx. every 40 seconds.
The CO alarm can be regularly checked for its function using the test button. In the event of an alarm, the test button can also be used to mute the alarm; however, the alarm can only be muted up to a maximum measured CO value of 150 ppm. When positioning the carbon monoxide detector, you can choose between wall mounting or desktop installation. The detector should be positioned between 1 m and max. 3 m away from the CO hazard source. During commissioning, the detector must be pushed onto the mounting plate. All 3 LEDs then light up briefly.
