We recommend pre-treatment with Xyladecor wood protection primer only for raw, untreated (e.g., non-impregnated) softwoods. With Aqua Tech moisture protection, Xyladecor wood protection stain offers extra protection against water on all outdoor woods: the wood is impregnated, reducing its ability to absorb water by more than 30%. The result: extra protection against moisture, as water beads off, keeping the wood looking beautiful for longer.

Preparation work: Sand gray surfaces (wear a dust mask) until healthy wood appears. Old coatings must be completely removed. Tie back plants, cover the ground. Untreated or pre-treated wood with Xyladecor wood protection stain can be painted directly with Xyladecor wood protection stain.

Handling and use: Shake or stir the container well. Apply the first and second coats with a soft flat brush in the direction of the grain. Never paint directly weather-exposed wood only with the "Colorless" variety: only colored varieties of Xyladecor protect the wood from graying.
