A leveling system is the optimal solution for laying tiles evenly and avoiding unevenness. The XPOtool tile leveling system set includes pull tabs and a leveling pliers.

First, the pull tabs are inserted into the joint. After the adjacent tile is laid, corresponding wedges (not included) are pushed through the tabs until both tiles reach the same height level. The pliers help to press the wedges more evenly into the pull tab. Additionally, the pliers feature an adjustment screw on the handle, which allows the depth of the wedge insertion to be set.

Once the tile adhesive has cured, the wedges can be pulled out of the tabs and are reusable. The pull tabs, on the other hand, have predetermined breaking points where the visible part of the tab can be snapped off. The lower part remains between the laid tiles, making it invisible after grouting.

The width of a joint depends on the material thickness of the pull tab. For example, with a tab thickness of 1.0 mm, a joint of 1.0 mm width is created. To allow for tiling over a larger area, the XPOtool tile leveling system set contains sufficient pull tabs. The tabs are suitable for tiles with thicknesses ranging from 3 to 12 mm.
