A nut splitter is a tool used to loosen rusted, overtightened, or damaged nuts.

To split the nut, the ring-shaped end of the extraction tool is placed around the stuck nut. The nut splitters in this set are suitable for splitting nuts with sizes of 12–16 mm or 16–22 mm. The splitting chisel is mechanically turned into the nut using a ratchet or a wrench. For this purpose, the cutting chisel is equipped with an external hex drive (SW 14 mm or 19 mm). Through the applied pressure, the nut breaks and can be easily removed. The significant advantage of nut splitters over other methods is that the screw thread remains undamaged.

The nut splitters in the XPOtool set are made of alloyed steel. This makes them extremely robust and suitable for use in professional automotive workshops and hobby garages for car repairs and more.
