This reflective warning sign measuring 50 x 50 cm is used to mark protruding loads on camping vehicles, bike carriers, trailers, caravans, boat trailers, car bike carriers and other overhanging attachments.

The 500 x 500 mm warning sign is mandatory in Italy and Spain for loads that protrude or overhang to the rear and must be clearly visible.

This applies not only to holiday destinations, but also to transit countries. In Spain, it is mandatory to display a warning sign for load labelling (motorhome, caravan and car). According to traffic regulations, this must be standardised and used in the cases specified by law.

In Spain, the warning sign must have the following features:

• 3 red and 3 white hatched reflective stripes
• A size of 50 x 50 cm
• Be made of aluminium
• Have 4 punched eyelets for fastening

The warning sign must be attached if

• A rear bicycle carrier (with or without load) is fitted, even if it is folded up
• An object (surfboard, etc.) is transported on the roof rack and protrudes over the rear bumper
• A load protrudes beyond the overall length of the vehicle (see entry in the vehicle licence) to the rear (protrusion to the front is not permitted).
