A micrometer is used to measure diameters of pipes, bolts, shafts, and similar objects. For measurement, the respective object is placed between the two parallel measuring surfaces. The surfaces are then tightened using an adjustment screw, thread, and measuring spindle, so that the measuring surfaces touch the object being measured. The distance that now exists between the measuring surfaces indicates the thickness of the object.
The set consists of four micrometers with measurement ranges of 0-25 mm, 25-50 mm, 50-75 mm, and 75-100 mm. These micrometers have a measurement accuracy of 0.01 mm, making them ideal for measurements that require precise calibration.
The micrometers impress with their high-quality material and sturdy construction. The scale drum is made of cast steel, and the measuring spindle is made of bearing steel. The measuring surface features a hard alloy and a frame made of carbon steel.
