Wiltec Electric motor

This single-phase electric motor (asynchronous motor) is designed for driving compressors with an intake capacity of up to approximately 350 l/min. With a power output of 1.5 kW, the electric motor reaches speeds of 2850 revolutions per minute. The robust housing is made of aluminum. The operating capacitor starts the motor with an electrical capacity of 35 µF. The purpose of the operating capacitor is not only to start the motor but also to ensure smooth power delivery and rotation in the correct direction. If higher power is needed, a starting capacitor of up to 200 µF can be connected in parallel during the start-up phase. Such an increase in total capacity is necessary, for example, for compressors or floor sanding machines. Once the motor is up to speed, the starting capacitor is switched off. Additionally, the motor features an integrated overload protection. The electric motor, with an IP55 protection rating, is suitable for both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation. A change of direction is possible by re-wiring with a separate connection. The shaft has a diameter of 19 mm.
