Product details
MPP solar controllers for high-quality motorhomes, caravans, and boats. Votronic solar controllers of the "MPP" (Maximum Power Point) series with "IU1oU2" charging characteristics are connected as a link between solar panel(s) and battery(ies). With MPP technology, the controller automatically determines the maximum power output (MPP) of the solar modules multiple times per second. It transforms the voltage surplus from the solar module into a higher charging current for the battery (achieved through high-frequency switching regulator technology with high efficiency). This increase in charging current results in shorter charging times and the best possible utilization of the solar system's performance. The MPP solar controllers operate fully automatically, are maintenance-free, and offer the following features: an increase in MPP charging current compared to conventional controllers through the use of state-of-the-art controller technology (microprocessor) by 10% to 30% (efficiency > 95%). The performance boost is particularly noticeable during the cooler seasons and in high fog conditions, as well as under lower and diffuse lighting (wintering). They are suitable for charging lead-gel, lead-AGM, lead-acid batteries, or LiFePO4 complete batteries (with integrated BMS, balancing, safety circuitry, and certification!) of the specified nominal voltages and for supplying consumers connected to these batteries in permanently installed systems with the specified battery capacities and charging programs. The charging voltage is free from spikes and is regulated accordingly.
