MPP solar controller from Votronic with 2 charging outputs and LED display. Suitable for solar modules with: up to 165 Wp module power, max. 10 A module current, max. 50 V module voltage. Charging options: 1 supply battery and 1 starter battery. Votronic solar controllers of the "MPP" (Maximum Power Point) series with "IU1oU2" charging characteristic are connected as a link between the solar panel(s) and battery(ies). With MPP technology, the controller continuously determines the maximum power output (MPP) of the solar modules several times per second. It transforms the voltage surplus of the solar module into a higher charging current for the battery (achieved through high-frequency switching regulator technology with high efficiency). This increase in charging current leads to shorter charging times and the best possible performance utilization of the solar system. MPP solar controllers operate fully automatically, are maintenance-free, and offer the following features: MPP charging current increase compared to conventional controllers through the use of state-of-the-art technology (microprocessor) by 10% to 30% (efficiency > 95%). The performance boost is particularly noticeable in cooler seasons and, for example, in high fog conditions as well as lower and diffuse lighting (wintering). Switchable charging characteristics for optimal charging of gel/dryfit, AGM/fleece, or acid/wet as well as LiFePO4 batteries. The charging voltage is free of spikes and regulated in such a way that overcharging of the batteries is excluded.
