MPP solar controller specifically designed for use on boats, yachts, etc. The electronics of the MPPT charge controller are protected against moisture. Suitable for solar modules with up to 440 Wp module power, a maximum of 26.0 A module current, and a maximum of 60 V module voltage. Charging options: 1 supply battery and 1 starter battery. Votronic solar controllers of the "MPP" series (Maximum Power Point) with "IU1oU2" charging characteristic are connected as a link between the solar panel(s) and battery(ies). With MPP technology, the controller automatically determines the maximum power output (MPP) of the solar modules multiple times per second. It then transforms the voltage surplus of the solar module into a higher charging current for the battery (achieved through high-frequency switching regulator technology with high efficiency). This increase in charging current leads to shorter charging times and the best possible performance utilization of the solar system. MPP solar controllers operate fully automatically, are maintenance-free, and offer the following features: MPP charging current increase compared to conventional controllers through the use of state-of-the-art controller technology (microprocessor) by 10% to 30% (efficiency > 95%). The performance increase is particularly noticeable during the cooler season and, for example, in high fog situations, lower and diffuse lighting (wintering). Switchable charging characteristics for optimal charging of gel/dryfit, AGM/fleece, or acid/wet as well as LiFePO4 batteries. The charging voltage is free of spikes and regulated to prevent overcharging of the batteries. Two battery charging outputs: automatic charging of the main or onboard battery (Onboard I). Support charging and maintenance charging (max. 1 A) of the vehicle starter battery (Start II) with protection against overcharging. Monitoring-free charging: standard protection against overload, overheating, reverse polarity, and battery back discharge (in case of insufficient solar power, e.g., twilight, night, etc.). Parallel/buffer operation: adherence to charging characteristics even during simultaneous operation.
