Vallejo Air Metal Color - Gold (77.725)

Metal Color is an innovative range of metallic colors with a water-based formulation that uses aluminum pigments in its production. The Metal Color range offers a wide variety of shades to imitate the metallic finish of aircraft from all types and eras. With exceptional brightness and extraordinary reflection power, it allows modelers to utilize a full range of painting techniques without the need for enamels and lacquers.

It can be applied directly to the model using an airbrush or diluted with airbrush thinner or flow improver. Metal Color dries very quickly, preserving the smallest details on the model and forming a homogeneous, self-leveling layer of extraordinary resistance a few hours after application. It can be tinted directly in the airbrush cup using colors from the Model Air or Game Air ranges and can also be applied with a brush.

Recommended compressor settings for these colors are around 15-20 psi or 0.5-1 kg. For airframes and aircraft model components, it is advisable to apply Gloss Black Primer to enhance the special characteristics of the aluminum shades. Metal Color dries quickly, but it is recommended to wait 12 hours after application before using any paint masks. Additionally, Gloss Metal Varnish is available in 60 ml bottles. For proper maintenance of the airbrush, it is recommended to use airbrush cleaner.
