The Upat internal thread anchor IST is an accessory in chemical fastening that offers maximum flexibility for anchoring with screws featuring metric threads or threaded rods, due to the possibility of flush surface disassembly. This anchor, made of stainless steel A4, is particularly suitable for outdoor fastening in a variety of building materials using all injection mortar and cartridge systems from Upat. The most economical use of the anchor is in combination with the UKA-3 cartridge. When processing many fastening points in succession, it is generally recommended to combine it with injection mortar cartridges. During installation with the mortar cartridge, the internal thread anchor is set using a rotary hammer with impact. During the setting process, the mortar cartridge is destroyed, mixed, and activates the mortar mass. When installing with injection mortars, the anchor is manually pushed into the drilled hole with slight rotational movements. The various mortars bond the IST fully with the wall of the drilled hole. The system with the internal thread anchor IST is particularly frequently used for the temporary fastening of machines.
