Product details
The cartrend adapter for trailers from 13 to 7 poles serves as a universal connector between incompatible connections. This adapter is designed for situations where a modern vehicle is combined with an older trailer. New vehicles typically have 13-pin sockets, while older trailers, especially flatbed ones, often still have a 7-pin trailer plug. This 13 to 7 trailer adapter can be directly attached to the vehicle's socket, enabling the connection. One advantage is the compact design of the cartrend mini-adapter. The adapter extends only a few centimeters beyond the original socket, taking up minimal space. The trailer plug can then be connected to the adapter, which features a bayonet lock for a secure hold. This ensures that the connection does not come loose during travel. At the same time, this bayonet lock can be operated with a single hand. The cartrend 13 to 7-pin trailer adapter meets both ISO standards 1724 and 11446, which establish the standards for 7- and 13-pin power connections in the automotive sector. Thus, the 13 to 7-pin adapter is approved for current strengths of up to 20 A and operates at a voltage of 12 V DC. The cartrend adapter for trailers from 13 to 7 poles is made of impact-resistant plastic, making it very robust and durable.
