Ulmia Spannsäge

Ulmia 270-600 clamping saw model C 600 mm. Large, butt-joint saw teeth for coarser cuts. Ideal for sawing and trimming sawn timber. The saw arm is made of the best steamed copper beech, the handle is oval shaped and the seat of the saw blade is left at full thickness. All surfaces are finely sanded and all edges are broken. The saw bridge is made of the best lime wood, oval, light, elastic and shock-absorbing, with a glued-in armrest to stiffen the saw frame. The tensioning wire is made of 2.2 mm thick, twisted wire, galvanised and rustproof. The threaded bolt is made of steel with a thread for the steel wing nut for tensioning. The saw blade is made of high-quality Swedish steel, ready for use, i.e. set and sharpened, with different types of teeth, partially point-hardened, therefore no resharpening required. Threaded, made of steel, sturdy design, with cover plate for the saw blade holder. The saw horn (handle) is made of the best steamed red beech wood, beautifully turned. The armrest is made of strong hornbeam wood to reinforce the saw frame and to hold the iron spring. Half of the steel spring is embedded in the saw arm and the other half in the saw cross to support the saw blade. The wooden surfaces are all finely sanded and treated with highly abrasion-resistant natural varnish.
