Always ensure that you have enough refills for your mosquito repellent device on hand.

All Thermacell devices use the same refills. A gas cartridge lasts up to 12 hours, and an active ingredient plate lasts up to 4 hours.

Refills can be stored for long periods. The gas cartridge and active ingredient plate do not need to be used at the same time. For example, you can use them for just one hour a day. Simply turn it off and use it again at another time. If there is a longer interval (more than 2 days) in between, store the active ingredient plate in an airtight package in a dry and cool place.

The synthetic active ingredient D-Trans-Allethrin belongs to the family of pyrethroids and is synthetically modeled after the natural biocide pyrethrin (derived from chrysanthemums).
