The testo 816-1 is optimal for sound level measurements in workplaces, industrial and manufacturing halls, as well as in public spaces. Its functionality meets all requirements for standard-compliant sound level measurement according to IEC 61672-1 Class 2. With the push of a button, the measurement time can be switched from Slow (1 sec) to Fast (125 ms). Also, with a single button press, you can toggle between frequency weighting curves A and C, and vice versa. The A weighting curve corresponds to the sound pressure sensitivity of the human ear, while the C weighting curve can assess low-frequency components of a noise. The integrated data memory allows for the storage of over 30,000 measurement values, which can be managed using the included software. Additionally, the software enables online measurements over an extended period. The highest accuracy can be achieved through calibration; with the optional sound calibrator and the included accessories, the testo 816-1 can be recalibrated on-site.
