The thread former DIN 2174 (DIN 371) from Tecwerk is a high-precision tool specifically designed for machining metric ISO standard threads. With its HSS-Co (high-speed steel with cobalt) construction and a TiN coating, this thread former offers excellent wear resistance and durability. The straight-fluted form C and the relieved flanks enable efficient chip removal and ensure clean threads in various materials, including non-ferrous metals and steels with a minimum elongation at break of 10%. The thread former is suitable for both through and blind holes and meets the tolerance requirements of the 6HX field.
