When the vehicle is parked and the driver has exited and locked it, the included remote control activates the TX-100 car alarm. If an unauthorized person attempts to enter the vehicle, a loud 110 dB alarm signal will sound upon breaching the interior, deterring the intruder. If the car alarm is tampered with by the intruder, the alarm will continue to sound thanks to the built-in battery, which allows for a standby time of up to 6 days. The alarm will sound for a maximum of 2 minutes and can only be deactivated using the included remote control. While the alarm is armed, the cigarette lighter essentially serves only as an "alarm holder," without drawing power from the car battery. When the vehicle is started, the integrated battery of the car alarm recharges through the cigarette lighter during the drive (3-4 hours charging time).
