The ultrasonic presence detector US 360 in the COM1 connection variant is equipped with an interface for switching lights on and off based on presence and ambient brightness. It is the ideal solution for ceiling mounting in offices, conference rooms, storage areas, as well as training and classrooms, where lights need to be switched automatically and energy-efficiently.

The sensor of the STEINEL US 360 actively emits ultrasonic waves at a high frequency of 40 kHz. The waves fill the room to every corner and clearly detect transparent and other visually challenging objects. They encompass the objects but do not penetrate through – not even walls. Thus, the highly sensitive sensor technology of the STEINEL US 360 identifies even the slightest movement within the room. The ideal mounting height is between 2.5 to 3 m. The time setting is continuously adjustable from 10 seconds to 15 minutes, and the twilight threshold ranges from 10 to 1,000 lx.
