They offer perfect ignition characteristics for welding aluminum, light metals, alloyed and unalloyed nickel, as well as aluminum and magnesium compounds. The addition of 0.8% zirconium oxide ensures that WZ8 tungsten electrodes have a long service life and high ignitability.

Properties include perfect ignition behavior and excellent conductive properties, making them high-quality TIG welding accessories suitable for almost all welding work with alternating current, especially for welding aluminum alloys. They are ideally suited for welding with AC current and are universally applicable for aluminum, aluminum-bronze, nickel, and magnesium alloys welded with AC current. These electrodes provide a long service life, high arc stability, and good current carrying capacity. They are thorium-free, environmentally friendly, and easy to dispose of.
