The fiberglass tape measure is housed in a sturdy steel casing and consists of parallel glass fiber threads embedded in plastic. After measuring, the tape can be easily rewound using a small crank. Conveniently, a hand loop is attached to the back of the casing for lengths of 20 m and above.
