The SPAX typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal hexagon. This shape increases the contact area of our T-STAR plus, allowing the T-STAR plus bits to fit perfectly in the screw head. The optimal power transmission from the screwdriver to the screw provided by T-STAR plus enables quick work, significantly more efficiently than with any other drives.

If screw connections can also look good when needed, our universal screw with a pan head is an example. The spherical screw head with T-STAR plus or cross-slot Z-drive is suitable for the visible fastening of metal fittings on wood, with the underside of the head lying flat against the metal. The WIROX surface adapts to the color of the respective silver-colored metal fittings.

In contrast to partial threads, the full thread extends over the entire length of the screw. The more threads a screw has, the greater the tensile and compressive forces that can be transferred from the screw to the wood. Our full-thread screws are primarily used for high-load wood connections.

The term 4CUT refers to the square shape of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibers during insertion and create space for the screw's core diameter. This reduces the spreading pressure exerted by the core in the wood and prevents the wood from splitting near the edges. The necessary torque of the cordless screwdriver is also reduced, as the core of the screw does not have to "squeeze" into the wood.

The abbreviation A2 in our stainless steel screws comes from the alloy of the steel. Screws made of stainless steel A2 offer high protection against corrosion and medium strengths. Their resistance to seawater and acids is low. Therefore, they are used for fastening in outdoor areas far from the coast.
