The SPAX-typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal hexagon. This shape increases the contact area of our T-STAR plus, allowing the T-STAR plus bits to fit optimally in the screw head. The best possible power transfer from the screwdriver to the screw through T-STAR plus enables quick work, and it is significantly more efficient than with all other drives.

The countersunk head (or flat countersunk head) carves a recess into the wood with its polygonal underside ("pockets"), allowing it to be sunk without the need for additional countersinking of the screw hole. The countersunk head sits flush with the surface.

The screws with partial thread are excellent for fastening thin components like wood-based panels, boards, or floorboards to thicker components like beams or timbers. The short thread screws into the thick component, while the unthreaded shaft remains in the attachment component. This creates maximum clamping pressure between the two. The unthreaded part should be at least equal to the thickness of the attachment component.

The term 4CUT refers to the square shape of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibers during insertion and create space for the core diameter of the screw. This reduces the spreading pressure that the core exerts on the wood and prevents the wood from splitting near the edge. It also decreases the necessary torque of the cordless screwdriver, as the screw's core does not have to "squeeze" into the wood.

The abbreviation A2 in our stainless steel screws comes from the alloy of the steel. Screws made of stainless steel A2 offer high protection against corrosion and medium strengths. Their resistance to seawater and acids is low. Therefore, they are used for fastening in outdoor areas far from the coast.
