The SPAX typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal hexagon. This shape increases the contact area of our T-STAR plus, allowing the T-STAR plus bits to fit optimally in the screw head. The best possible power transmission from the screwdriver to the screw through T-STAR plus enables efficient work, significantly more so than with any other drives. The countersunk head (or flat countersunk head) carves a recess into the wood with its polygonal underside ("pockets"), allowing it to be sunk without additional countersinking of the screw hole. The countersunk head sits flush with the surface. The screws with partial thread are excellent for fastening thin components such as wood-based panels, boards, or floorboards to thicker components like beams or posts. The short thread screws into the thick component, while the unthreaded shaft remains in the attachment component, creating maximum clamping pressure between the two.
