The SIMPLEX splitting axes from Halder combine two tools in one: a splitting axe and a soft-faced hammer of absolute professional quality, offering significant cost savings compared to purchasing them separately. The high product quality is certified by the Council for Forest Work and Forestry Technology (KWF). The total weight is 2,700 g.

The drop-forged and tempered axe blade is ground and polished. Its slim shape is ideal for splitting softwood.

The Superplastic insert with a diameter of 50 mm is a medium-hard plastic insert made from extruded, extremely homogeneous material. Compared to injection-molded plastic inserts, it is significantly more wear-resistant and durable. Using this soft side during wedge work completely eliminates the risk of injury from metal splinters; plastic and aluminum wedges have a considerably longer lifespan.

The ductile iron housing features an integrated handle protection sleeve, ensuring high break resistance.

The long-fiber, very stable hickory handle is lacquered and ergonomically shaped. The leather cutting guard protects against injuries during transport.
