The Siemens Dig.Industr. Neural Smoke Detector OOHC740 is a smoke and CO detector designed for very early and reliable detection of emerging fires. This is achieved by evaluating three criteria: smoke, heat, and gas. The detector reacts very quickly to all carbon monoxide (CO) generating fires and provides early warnings in environments with deceptive conditions.

It operates on the light scattering principle with two sensors that utilize both forward and backward light scattering. The opto-electronic measuring chamber keeps disruptive stray light at bay while optimally detecting both light and dark smoke particles. Two additional heat sensors and an extra CO sensor enhance the detector's resistance to false alarms and its response behavior.

The detection behavior can be selected using application-specific ASA parameter sets. The additional CO analysis is exceptionally fast and ideal for applications where the vulnerability of individuals is critical, such as in nursing homes, hospitals, or sheltered accommodations.

There are additional detection channels for CO alerts and CO or ambient heat monitoring. The base must be ordered separately.
