The FDCL221 line separator is used to ensure that in the event of a short circuit, not multiple branch lines fail. It is employed where multiple branches are connected at a single point to the FDnet/C-NET, in the absence of any other device between the branches.

The line separator enables the upgrading of existing collective systems to addressable Sinteso and Cerberus PRO fire alarm systems. It is an electronic switch that is inserted into the FDnet/C-NET and disconnects the negative lead in the event of a short circuit, allowing the unaffected side to continue operating.

The line separator features 2x 2 connections for the detector line. The yellow LED for status indication signals the short circuit disconnection.
