The SFM3019 is Sensirion's solution for providing large quantities of flow meters for medical ventilators to support the global pandemic situation due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. It is based on a modular approach to assembling approved components that are readily available for Sensirion and features high-volume throughput manufacturing. The housing geometry is based on the SFM3000 flow meter, making it mechanically compatible with the SFM3000. A flow range of -10 slm to +240 slm and a directed flow support high-flow applications while still allowing for backflow detection. To minimize pressure drop, the SFM3019 is equipped with a mesh at the inlet.
