The following tests can be performed: continuity test, polarity check, applying voltage to components, lighting test on the trailer, applying voltage (+/-) to components, function of jumper cables, identifying a poor ground connection, tracing and locating short circuits, and preventing fuse blowouts. The device is easily connected to the vehicle battery via the 6 m cable.
