No more problems with LED lighting on trailers or caravans when used with CAN-Bus vehicles. In newer vehicles equipped with CAN-Bus technology, connecting a trailer with LED lighting can trigger an error message from the towing vehicle's onboard computer. The solution is the microprocessor-controlled LED-CAN converter, which is simply plugged in between the towing vehicle and the trailer. Continuous power is not required, and a current limitation protects the LED light. The circuit operates without standby current, keeping the battery unaffected. If a fault occurs due to a short circuit or overcurrent, the CAN-Bus will display an error message because the adapter shuts down. The LED adapter is not destroyed; it automatically resets to its operational state after the LED light is removed.
