The Wiser Smart Smoke Detector brings intelligent safety to your home. It detects smoke as well as sudden temperature increases and warns you with a loud alarm sound. When connected to the Wiser system, it sends notifications via the Wiser app directly to your phone. The app allows integration into smart home automation and actions such as automatically turning off outlets during a fire, turning on lights, or adjusting all cameras in the house to record events on a memory card.

The Wiser app also reminds you to test the functionality of the smoke detector at regular intervals. You can check the device's status through a clear LED display, and if you want to temporarily silence the device for 10 minutes, you can easily do so by briefly pressing the front of the device. The smoke detector can also function as a traditional smoke detector without the Wiser app. It can be networked with other Wiser smoke detectors to ensure alarm notifications throughout the house if smoke or a sudden temperature increase is detected in a room.

Included in the package are a ceiling mounting plate, screws, and a user manual. The device can be installed on flat or sloped ceilings. It features a built-in battery for safety checks that lasts about 10 years (non-replaceable).

If the smoke detector is to be used in a Wiser system, a Wiser Smart Home Hub must be operational. The hub also supports virtual assistants Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
